Let’s share our experiences
Fondue Tower
Discovery
Over the years, the remains of the seventeenth-century fort, tour Fondu, have become the departure point for boats to the islands and more specifically to Porquerolles, the closest island.
Coastal defence
Located on the south side of Giens Peninsula, Fondue Tower is what remains of an ancient fort built in the 17th century by order of Richelieu. Though the tower is named for the Provençal Tour Foundudo (“split tower, in ruins”), it is now being restored and will be opened to the public in 2022.
